To ring in the New Year, Heriot-Watt University Dubai has launched a new financial subsidy for students interested in enrolling in a degree entry (foundation), undergraduate or postgraduate programme, including the MBA programme offered by the Edinburgh Business School, in January 2021.
Called the ‘Dubai Community New Year Award’, it will offer all current students of Heriot-Watt University Dubai progressing to their undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in January 2021 a fee discount of AED 8000. To avail of this, all that new and continuing students need to do is apply and pay 10 percent of their tuition fees as an advance payment (non-refundable) against their tuition fees, between January 1st and 9th, 2021. Students based in the UAE must also submit the stipulated post-dated cheques for their tuition fees.
Commenting on the Dubai Community New Year Award, Claire Roper-Browning, Regional Director - Marketing, Recruitment, Admissions and Communications (MRAC) of Heriot-Watt University Dubai said, “As we approach the new year, we want to extend as much support as possible to our community so that the aspiring students amongst us can move one step closer to fulfilling their academic ambition. We understand the financial impact of the current crisis and are striving to ease the financial burden as much as possible to offering several types of scholarships and discounts to eligible students residing in the UAE and abroad. This new discount reaffirms our commitment to supporting and developing the communities in which we live and work.”
The Dubai Community New Year Award amount will be distributed equally across the instalment plan for the first year of study for students who have received an unconditional offer letter or a conditional offer letter from the University. Students who have received a conditional offer letter must provide the remaining documents to receive an unconditional offer letter from the University before the start of the academic year. If a student does not meet the conditions required, their admission and early application discount will both become void and any tuition fee paid will be refunded back to them. The advance payment of the fees paid is non-refundable if an unconditional offer letter has been issued to the applicant.
